GeekHive is proud to be hosting the inaugural meeting of the Green Bay area’s Sitecore User Group on March 29th.  This is an opportunity for Sitecore professionals or those looking to get into the career path to network and learn more.  Developers, marketers, managers, and content authors are welcome and encouraged to attend. We anticipate having a wide variety of presentations throughout the coming months from low-level introductory sessions to more advanced technical sessions.

Session One: Sitecore Personalization

This first meeting will showcase Sitecore Personalization, a very hot topic right now.  Rick Bauer from Perficient will present best practices for setting up and fully utilizing personalization within Sitecore,  mainly focusing on the roles of developers and marketers.  His demo will cover the basic setup within the Marketing Control Panel, applying it to the front-end, and also explaining what types of documents and communication are needed to ensure a site is prepared to take full advantage of it. They’ll be time after his presentation for questions, comments, and idea sharing.

Agenda 3/29:

5:30 PM – 6:15 PM Food, Refreshments, Networking
6:15 PM – 7:30 PM Organizer overview – why we are doing this, what we want to accomplish as a group + Presentation – Let’s Get Personal  (Personalization in Sitecore CXP)
7:30 PM – 8:30 PM Audience input and ideas, more networking

This user group is administered by myself, Steve VandenBush also from GeekHive, and Mark Servais from Velir.  We hope to host these meet-ups bi-monthly and will ramp up as needed depending on suggestions, attendance, and demand. We’re thrilled to be able to facilitate this type of group for our fellow Sitecore enthusiasts so we can build our local community up together.

To keep up to date with new meetings schedules, agenda topics, and any changes, please sign up for our LinkedIn Group. We look forward to seeing you there!
